About

The Chief of Police, Captain and two Administrative Assistants make up the police department’s administration division.  The overall responsibility of the Chief is to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the police department.  The Chief is the final authority on all matters pertaining to the budget, policy and discipline.

The Captain is the Executive Officer and occupies the second level of supervision within the police department.  Other than supervising the Patrol and Detective Divisions, the Captain serves as the training officer and oversees the day-to-day operation of the department.

In addition to both Administrative Assistants having innumerable assignments, they serve in a support role for the Chief and Captain.
