The Select Board appointed Jake Roger in June of 2023 to function as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Town, responsible for the proper administration of the day-to-day operation of the Town government. Among other things, the Town Administrator is responsible for:

Policy Analysis and Recommendations

Supervising Town employees while providing administrative direction and guidance

Supervising the preparation of all budgets, preparing bid documents, and administering contracts

Maintaining knowledge of state laws and regulations pertaining to the town

Jake is a Navy veteran with over ten years of experience as a civil servant. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he worked for the City of Portsmouth, where he was promoted to Operations Foreman of the Peirce Island Wastewater Treatment Facility. While working for Portsmouth, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from Granite State College. Jake then moved on to be Chief Plant Operator for the Town of Kittery Sewer Department before coming to the Town of Epping. Jake is currently studying to obtain a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of New Hampshire to further enhance his knowledge of municipal operations.
